Bringing Copilot+ PCs to mainstream users with 45 TOPs AI performance

Ahead of the IFA show, Qualcomm's CEO, Cristiano Amon, has officially announced the introduction of the new 8-core Snapdragon X Plus SKUs, which should enable OEMs to offer Copilot+ to the mainstream market, launching PCs in the $700 to $900 range.

Adreno GPU at its best

According to the latest rumor, it appears that Qualcomm's next-generation flagship mobile SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, could have an impressive GPU performance, running some GPU-intensive games at native 1080p resolution.

Coming alongside Snapdragon X Elite in mid-2024

As expected, Qualcomm shared a bit more details about its upcoming Snapdragon X Series platform and the Snapdragon X Plus SoC, a 10-core version based on Oryon CPU architecture. The Snapdragon X Plus is expected to come in OEM devices starting mid-2024, alongside Snapdragon X Elite-based devices.

With Cortex-X4 Prime core and on-device AI

Qualcomm has announced its latest mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, giving it a single Cortex-X4 Prime core and adding on-device AI capabilities, pushing it much closer to the flagship Snapdragon 8 series SoCs.

More performance, higher efficiency, and the latest connectivity

During its annual Snapdragon Summit 2022, Qualcomm has unveiled its latest flagship mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, bringing performance and efficiency improvements all across the board.

Lacks in GPU, 5G, imaging, features 

MediaTek Dimensity 9000 got a lot of coverage, and the marketing machine is trying to promote this chipset as a premium. Guess what? Dimensity 9000 is not a premium chipset as it suffers from stitched stock Cortex IP, stock Mali GPU, lack of premium phone design wins, and, most importantly, too optimistic SoC clocks. The clocks, especially the mid-cluster, might get the company in trouble due to the high energy drain.

During the second day of its annual Snapdragon technology summit in Hawaii, Qualcomm touched a topic of mobile gaming, and it appears that the company is quite serious about tapping this big and lucrative market, bringing desktop-level features to the Snapdragon platform and offering mobile gamers performance, quality and unique set of features.
