4nm ADA Lovelace GPU with 76b transistors
As expected and teased earlier, Nvidia has unveiled its new RTX 40-series graphics cards based on 4nm Ada Lovelace GPU architecture at the GTC Autumn 2022 Keynote address led by Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang. The new architecture is bringing new shaders, 3rd Gen RT cores, 4th Gen Tensor cores, and promises 2x-4x performance improvement compared to the RTX 30-series.
One with 16GB of GDDR6X memory, the other with 12GB
Nvidia's RTX 4080 model is going to have two classes of PCBs, one that will come with 16GB of GDDR6X memory, while the other will have 12GB of GDDR6X memory, according to some new leakage from the Green Goblin.
23Gbps GDDR6X memory
The latest rumor points to a faster memory on the upcoming Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080, up from 21Gbps to 23Gbps GDDR6X, while the TBP has been lowered from 420W to 340W.
